TOBY FISHEL

Toby, an Austrian National, having been brought up dually British and Austrian I started skiing aged 2 ½ and have been teaching/coaching in Austria for the last 27 years. In this time I have built up considerable experience of teaching/training at all levels and many nationalities.

My teaching experience includes a number of ski schools in Tirol Seefeld, Obergurgl and Hintertux. The Austrian Alpine Ski Academy, Bundessportheim, in St Christoph am Arlberg is a renowned center of excellence, where the world class Austrian trainers and racers receive coaching. I am privileged to have been able to train at the exclusive ski academy Bundessportheim in St Christoph am Arlberg. My race experience includes local, county and national races in Tirol and Salzburg. Throughout my competitive years I have been very focused on developing my all-round personal fitness as a skier and have gained extensive hands-on training experience (in the company of national and world-cup level skiers).

I have been working as a personal trainer for the last 10 years in Austria and, During the summer months I work with both young people and adults to develop their over-all fitness and run a program specially targeted at preparing them for the coming ski racing season. Over the last few years I have increased my commitment to coaching young racers and this coming season I will be training a young british race full time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BASI (British Association Snowsport Instructors) level 4 Alpine Diploma
• Current Alpine trainer to IASI
• D - Trainer Austrian coaching licence (ÖSV Österreichischer Ski Federation)
• Member of ISIA (International Ski Instructors Association)
