ALPINE COACHING COURSES 2010/2011

MULTITERRAIN COURSES

ALINECOACHING specialise in the MULTI TERRAIN course. This is one of our most popular courses and really aims to develop your “all mountains” performance. No part of the mountain is too much, this course will take you in to the bumps, explore the variable and off piste , tackle the steeps and carve up the piste. This course puts you firmly in the driving seat and teaches you to deal with the ever changing mountain environment.

OFF PISTE COURSES

Our off piste courses are idea for introducing skiers to the thrill of off piste skiing. During this course the focus will be on developing your skills and technique leading to greater success in the off piste environment.

During this course our professionals will teach you the basics of off piste mountain safety. This will include learning how to use an avalanche transceiver, safe route selection and travelling as a group in this environment.

The majority of the terrain skied on this course will be on off piste ski routes and lift accessed areas within the resort. All our professionals delivering this course hold the relevant qualifications to teach skiing off piste. On all our courses attendees have the option to try 1 day telemark skiing as a basic introduction.

INSTRUCTOR TRAINING

Alpinecoaching represent a team of highly qualified professionals. This team draws on the experience of trainers and coaches who are expert in developing high level performance; many are trainers and examiners for the organisations responsible for training and assessing ski instructors. Please discus your specific requirements with your course trainer.

Instructor training is available in The UK at THE SNOW CENTRE Hemel Hempstead and as part of our Alpine based course.

A note on general fitness to get the most out of our courses:

Our courses are fun and informative and are aimed at developing your performance. Attendees need to be aware that “on snow” time will generally run from 9.30am until 3.30pm with a few breaks for lunch and a drink. To get the most out of our courses you will need a basic level of fitness that will allow you to get the most out of your day. Our coaches will adjust the level of activity to suite the level of the group and promote success.
